About the IIAD façade
IIAD required a façade that expressed craft while performing environmentally. TerraPixel developed a terracotta screen with modulated openings, tuned per elevation to balance daylight, glare and heat load.
Design & engineering
Panel geometries were resolved parametrically, then translated into mould tooling and a lightweight sub-frame. TerraPixel led the full chain — design, prototyping, fabrication and site installation.
Why it matters
The IIAD façade shows how a terracotta system by TerraPixel can be both an architectural statement and a performance layer for the building.
